The Rotary Foundation
The Rotary Foundation (TRF) exists to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty. The Foundation’s funds come from contributions from Rotary clubs and bequests and personal giving by Rotarians and others.  It is Rotary’s charitable arm and its grants go back to projects around the world initiated by Rotary clubs and districts, enabling it to achieve its purpose through its members.
Since 2013, The Rotary Foundation has focused its work in six areas: peace and conflict resolution, maternal and child health, education and literacy, economic and community development, water and sanitation and disease prevention and treatment.
Over the last 30 years, the Rotary Foundation’s most significant project has been the eradication of polio from the world. Its ongoing efforts have helped to reduce the number of cases annually from 300,000 to in 2015, and now only three countries in the world are still endemic.
In 2017, the Rotary Foundation will celebrate its centennial. Learn more about The Rotary Foundation or visit the District 9930 Rotary Foundation page
