Waikato Sunrise was pleased to sponsor Hamilton Girl’s High School year 13 pupil, Deanna Jordan, to the Summer Science School early Dec.
The Summer Science school was held 5th-10th of December 2010 at the University of Waikato. The week included
- a visit to Karangahake Gorge Golden Cross mine site and a visit to Martha Mine in Waihi to study gold mining
- a visit to Bowentown to study organisms
- science lab sessions in the chemistry, biochemical engineering, electronic engineering and earth sciences labs
- a gourmet dinner in the performing arts centre at the university
- presentation of team case studies
