Rotary Friendship Exchange (RFE)

In October 2010,  Waikato Sunrise hosted a Rotary Friendship Exchange group from District 2360 West Sweden.

The 11 Swedish guests were welcomed  with a Kiwi BBQ on the first evening.  The following day,  they visited Raglan Area School for a Maori welcome, morning tea and a tour of the school.  Lunch was fish and chips at the beach,  followed by a visit to Bridal Veil Falls,  then ending the day with another combined evening meal with their Rotarian hosts.

The RFE team presented at the club meeting that Friday morning,  involving presentations to District Governor Peter Signal and wife Rebecca;   also to Geoff Martin District Chair of RFE and Gavin Petrie to acknowledge their work in coordinating this exchange.  The team presented a talk on Sweden and exchanged Rotary banners from our clubs and District.  Following the club meeting,  the team headed to Mount Maungatautari then returned to their hosts for a final evening of rest and fellowship.
