GISBORNE INTERNATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION
The 23rd Competition for Solo Orchestral Instruments takes place from 27 November to 3 December at the War Memorial Theatre.
This is a brief notice to Rotarians to let you know that in Gisborne this Rotary event again has a full competitor list of 60 entrants coming from Australia, the USA, the United Kingdom and Asia, as well as some 30 New Zealanders.

- Sunday 27 November 1st Round 10.00am, 2.00pm, 7.00pm
- Monday 28 November 1st Round 10.00am, 2.00pm, 7.00pm
- Tuesday 29 November 1st Round 10.00am, 2.00pm, 7.00pm
- Wednesday 30 November 1st Round 10.00am, 2.00pm, 7.00pm
- Friday 2 December Semi Final Round 10.00am, 2.00pm, 7.00pm
- Peoples Choice Busking Competition 12.30pm – 1.30pm
- Saturday 3 December Concert Under the Leaves 12.30pm, Marina Park
COMPETITION FINAL 7.00pm
Admission is free to all events except the Final, which is $20.00 for adults and $5.00 for children. Ticket sales are at the Theatre.
The Gisborne International Competition has, over 23 years, become an internationally recognized annual event of the Rotary Club of Gisborne. All Rotary Club members are involved – from manning the door to providing billets for all competitors.
You are very welcome to join our visitors who include the Australian High Commissioner and several other notable folk.
